Handler precision chucks are available in many configurations. Manufactured of alloy steel, brass and hardened steel, Handler chucks are made in various designs to provide manual, semi-automatic and automatic changing of burs, mandrels, abrasives, buffs and brushes. High Speed Spindles for grinding and finishing of hard alloys are available with automatic mandrel changing capability. We will gladly discuss your particular chuck requirements.

1-6 Stone Chucks
Stone Chucks are designed to accommodate abrasive wheels with various inside diameters as indicated below. Handler stone chucks are manufactured to exacting standards from quality brass. For use only on tapered lathe shafts. Specify chuck number (below) when ordering.

7B Tapered Brass Chuck
The No. 7B tapered chuck is designed exactly as the No. 7 steel chuck, except it is made with brass. These chucks provide easier on/off placement onto tapered dental shafts, causing less shaft wear.

8 Jacobs Type Jr. Chuck
The No. 8 chuck is designed for use on polishing motors which have a 1/2” [1.3cm] straight shaft. All specifications are identical to the 8T, except for its adaptation onto a 1/2” [1.3cm] shaft.
NOT available for the left shaft of a motor.

The 8T chuck is designed specifically for use with small burs and mandrels which do not exceed 1/4” [0.6cm] in diameter. The 8T is built to be a less expensive and semi-precise adjustable chuck for use on lathes with tapered shafts. Available for the RIGHT side of a lathe only, this chuck opens with a CCW twist and closes with a CW twist.

9 Arbor Band
Designed to accommodate 3/4” diameter x 3/4” wide [1.9cm x 1.9cm] abrasive bands. Manufactured of alloy steel and plated to fit onto standard dental tapered shafts, the abrasive band is held in place by tightening the end screw against the rubber arbor.

67A Auto-Chuck Kit

An automatic chuck kit designed specifically for the changing of the chuck attachments listed below while lathe is in motion. The Auto-Chuck provides the user with fast chuck changing at a lower cost than many precision chucks. This chuck is designed for gross reduction and rough trimming.
Easily installs onto a dental tapered shaft. The 67A kit includes a wrench for tightening the bur adapter. Specify for Right or Left side.

18 Atlas Precision Chuck
The No. 18 Atlas chuck is a precise “Jacobs type” chuck for use with chuck accessories having a diameter of .001” [0.03mm] to .250” [6.4mm]. The 18 Atlas chuck attaches to the right shaft of a dental lathe with standard dental tapered shafts.
Machined to precision limits, the 18 Atlas provides the technician with concentricity unmatched by any other adjustable chuck.

20 Tapered Chuck
A tapered chuck manufactured of steel alloy for use on 1/2” [1.3cm] straight or 5/8” [0.6cm] straight shafts. Available for the Left or Right side of a polishing motor, this chuck provides the user with a heavy duty chuck for use with buffs, brushes and lead centered accessories.

67B Auto-Chuck II
The Auto-Chuck II was designed to interchange 3/32” [0.2cm] burs and mandrels while lathe is in motion. By simply placing finger pressure on the outer, frontal shell of this chuck, burs and mandrels may be changed without slowing or stopping the dental lathe. Constructed of alloy steel with hardened steel cylindrical bearings, the Auto-Chuck II will provide precise bur changing while saving valuable time. Installs on the tapered shaft of dental lathes. For Right side only.
